Starting Out

I've often wondered who would read my blog if I ever created one. The idea of having a blog has intrigued me for years and yet I always seemed to procrastinate, as I tend to do. The truth is, I might end up with no readers. Who actually wants to read 'a gurl's ramblings'?! This 'girl' being one who really really does love to talk, who has many many opinions and whose name rhymes with 'diva'... enough said. I write a diary frequently and who reads that? Just me is the answer... well I hope so anyway!

So perhaps it will be just me who reads this blog. That thought no longer scares me. There is something deeply fulfilling in the act of documenting. Maybe it's my inner desire to be a journalist, but I like to write. People may not agree with what I have to say but the effort I put into conveying my thoughts, feelings and observations on paper... or rather on a computer screen, is highly therapeutic. The chaos of my mind can get a bit much sometimes and so letting some of that madness out is refreshing.

I have decided not to hesitate or hold back on this blog. It is after all, mine! Freedom of speech will be at the forefront of my mind as I write. Certain lines will of course not be crossed but as an extension of my sometimes bizarre mind, this is going to be my blog .... 'A Gurl's Ramblings'' ... and dayuuum gurl I like to ramble ...

PS - I do realize that I have spelled the word 'girl' as 'gurl' in my blog title ... I guess it's just my inner diva ... xoxo
